Important persons talk each other directly. They use third person.Speaker adresses other(by intermediate)saying:”tell him or tell her”.
    sorry for my bad english!!

  4. tekk250 says:

In wolof society we always end speeches by saying: “I have spoken! ”
This is to give more weight to discourse and to affirm that “what I just said admits no doubt”

Oh man, thank you. Especially for synching it with English subtitles. I’ve seen this, but only with French subtitles which is a problem since I only know a little French.

If anyone here likes the music of Les Ambassadeurs, I’m sharing their song Sidiki in my channel.

Hi. Thanks for providing the extra information on Sembene. There is so much to say about him as a person, about this film, about the reception, that I’m not sure how much information I should give people in the video description, but maybe I’ll just cut and paste the short paragraph from the page you sent.

I didn’t make these subtitles myself, though. I was very very lucky to find them on the Internet, and I just had to sync them together with this very rare video I also found.

M a y a : Thanks for tranlating the french response of ‘whateverhte’ into english for me. Yes, I did figure out the CC switch on/off. Now, I’m wondering if the CC works if I download the movie. Thanks a bunch girl. You’re simply awesome !!! I love you and your channel.

  19. vivrelepresent says:

It tells you in the video description: to get subtitles, press the button on the lower right hand corner of the video and then click on CC (Closed Captions).

Nice job with the subs! I appreciate you going through all the trouble for us English speakers. :)

Thanks so much for Ceddo! J’aime Sembène.
